The United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) boasts the highest-level decision-making body for environment related matters around the globe. The UNEA is a body under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), aiming to mitigate and promote awareness about environmental issues to all 193 member states of the United Nations.

As the world’s leading environmental decision-making body, the United Nations Environment Assembly focuses on the sustainable management of natural resources. SDG 6 emphasizes clean water and sanitation, an issue UNEA frequently addresses through discussions on water pollution, access to clean drinking water, and water conservation policies.
