HMUN Crisis
1966, Chairman Mao has seen the reforms made by Liu Shaoqi and Deng Xiaoping and deemed them worrying developments for Chinese Socialism. In a bid to return China from the right-deviationist path it headed towards, an assembly of CPC officials have been called together to return China from the hands of capitalist roaders.
The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution was begun to restore equality in chinese society after a perceived split between the Communist Party of China and the People it was supposed to serve via a movement towards capitalist policies. The Cultural Revolution created mass power for the people of China, handing them the tools of self expression and free speech via "Dazibao" or "Big Character Posters" and held officials to their duty of serving the people.
